Information about destination:

The dynamic city of Madrid, capital of Spain, has an abundance of character and history.  Its streets are resplendent with each building façade appearing as if it were a monument to behold.

We acquaint you with the most famous woman of Madrid its entire history, namely ‘La Cibeles’ goddess of agriculture.  The El Prado Museum, with more than 9,000 works of art is considered to be one of the largest and best collections in the world and is certainly central to the artistic legacy and status of Madrid.

The ‘Puerta del Sol’, zero kilometre (km 0) mark of the Network of National Highways (Red de Carreteras Nacional), is at the centre of Madrid and is one of its busiest places.  The square also contains the famous clock whose bells mark the beginning of the New Year when many people follow the old tradition of eating twelve grapes (which should be eaten before the bell finishes chiming!).

La Almudena’ is the patron-saint of Madrid and this Cathedral is where the Prince and Princess of Asturias were married.   Next to the Cathedral is the impressive Palacio Real (the Royal Palace) and ‘La Plaza Mayor, the square which was the site for the old town and the government.

Let us show you the wonders of Madrid.  There’s an old saying … “From Madrid to Heaven”.  Maybe it’s the architecture, history, vitality, or simply the magical combination of everything this amazing city has to offer.
